Autism Sonic the Hedgehog

@KingofTheRing You know anything about Ian Flynn getting his asshole ripped apart by Sega? I've heard that Sega got fed up with his shit during his stupid BumbleKast QNA podcast and made him put a big disclaimer at the start of every episode saying his show is for entertainment purposes only and making it so that Sega has to vet every question they get, but I'm not sure what caused the changed in attitude. I've seen people say it was over one of the hosts allegedly say Shadow is a genderfluid, or over them answering a weird question about how every supporting character would react to Sonic slapping their ass but I'm not 100 percent sure

I’ve heard murmurs about it over the past week. I don’t really have any information to add, as you know as much as I do to be honest.
That ass-slapping question was probably the straw that broke the camels back albeit, I’m just glad Ian can’t bait people with the Freedom Fighters anymore as I’ve completely lost faith in his efforts to add them back.
Fowler won, Ian lost.

The FUTURE of the BumbleKast! 2025 News & FAQ

Changes to Sonic-Related Questions and Minis Due to Sega Vetting

  • Starting in 2025, all Sonic the Hedgehog series-related questions will be vetted by Sega before being put on the show, necessitating changes to the show's format 00:14.
  • The vetting process will apply to all Sonic series questions, including shipping, body swap, crossover, and isekai adventure questions, as well as questions about merchandise and fortune cards 00:17.
  • Depending on Sega's feedback, some questions may need to be revised, and some may be unanswerable, in which case the show's hosts will work with supporters to find a solution, such as revising the question, figuring out an alternative, or providing a refund 00:52.
  • The show's hosts are unsure what types of questions will be safe to ask, as this is new territory for everyone involved, and they ask for patience as they navigate this new process 01:44.
  • The change will also affect the show's minis, with the hosts asking supporters to hold off on submitting new minis for the time being, although they still plan to produce minis in the future 02:58.
  • The unpublished BumbleKast mini archive is currently shelved, except for non-Sonic related minis, which will still be released, and Kyle will try to coordinate with supporters to compile non-Sonic related minis 03:20.
  • Supporters who purchased non-Sonic related minis, such as the Dragon mini, can expect those to be released eventually 03:54.
  • The BumbleKast has exceptions to the rule, which include archived content, and they are working on adding more, with a big list of notes to keep track of 04:18.
  • The team is asking those who have unpublished mini episodes to keep them to themselves and not share them, as reposting would technically be a violation of the disclaimer they worked on with Sega 04:39.
  • The disclaimer is in place to cover their bases when someone maliciously clips the show and puts it out of context, causing issues on Twitter and making people unhappy 05:22.
  • The team is not concerned with people using the show to spread information, share a laugh, or create animatics, and they will not be filing any DMCA or taking legal action against fans 05:48.
  • The disclaimer is similar to those seen before movies in school, and it's not meant to be taken as a threat, but rather as a way to point out bad behavior from a small group of people 06:32.
  • The BumbleKast team is not going to "bite the hand that feeds" and will not pull the rug out from under their supportive community, and they ask that fans be respectful and not make things more complicated than they need to be 07:00.
  • Fans are asked not to "white knight" for the team by filing strikes or taking action against people who repost their content, but instead to report and block them for abusive behavior and ignore them 07:30.
  • If someone sees a friend sharing malicious content, they should say no, block and ignore the person, and move on with their life, without taking action on the team's behalf or engaging in dog piling 08:01.

Disclaimer and Community Guidelines

  • The team will provide guidance on how to reference the show in the future 08:17.
  • The BumbleKast team prefers that users link to their YouTube videos and include timestamps instead of re-uploading their content, as a sign of respect for their work and to avoid potential copyright issues 08:24.
  • The team is doing their best to keep the show running in a way that both their audience and Sega are comfortable with, but this may take time as they navigate new processes and learn from their experiences 08:55.
  • The BumbleKast has been running for nine years thanks to the support of their patrons, Ko-fi donors, and YouTube supporters, and they are grateful for their generosity 09:23.
  • The team is not accepting super chats at the moment, but they will answer any questions sent in through this method at the end of their list 10:17.

BumbleKast's Relationship with Sega and Content Ownership

  • The BumbleKast is not officially sanctioned by Sega and never has been, but rather is a personal project focused on Ian's work and interests, including Sonic and other franchises 10:52.
  • Ian's answers to questions may be vetted by Sega as part of their new process, but this does not make the BumbleKast an official method of communication with Sega 12:21.
  • Opinions and information provided are the creators' own and not endorsed by anyone, including Sega 12:49.
  • Names of individuals asking questions will be removed, and no identifying information will be given to Sega, ensuring anonymity 13:15.

Changes to Q&A Format and Submission Process

  • Live stream Q&A sessions are ending because Sega cannot vet all questions in real-time, and it's not feasible to do so 13:39.
  • Only Sonic-related questions will be vetted by Sega, while other questions will not be sent to them for approval 14:43.
  • If a question is rejected, patrons will be notified through Patreon, and those on Ko-fi will be notified through the DM system 15:20.
  • There is no way to appeal Sega's rejections, and resubmitting a rejected question is not allowed 15:30.
  • Approved questions from Sega do not constitute an official endorsement of the question's content 16:05.
  • The BumbleKast should not be used as a method to pitch story or character ideas to Sega directly, and sending unsolicited material is not allowed 16:16.

Uncertainty and Clarification Regarding Sega's Involvement

  • The vetting process's duration is unknown, as it's a brand new process 16:58.
  • Steps are being taken to minimize potential interruptions to the BumbleKast in 2025, but the outcome is uncertain 17:17.
  • The reason for Sega rejecting certain questions is unknown, and it is unclear if feedback and guidance will be provided 17:31.
  • A cutoff for Sonic-based questions has been implemented due to Sega's involvement and the need to refine messaging 17:59.
  • This change is not a new development, but rather a clarification of existing guidelines, and is partly due to increased scrutiny resulting from Kyle's higher public profile 18:17.
  • Kyle is not an official representative or spokesman for the Sonic brand, and the BumbleKast is not an official vehicle for brand information 19:05.
  • Kyle is not an employee or representative of Sega, and has never had direct or indirect contact with the company regarding the BumbleKast 19:41.

Technical Issues and Content Guidelines

  • The technical issues experienced during the recording are a common problem that needs to be addressed 20:32.
  • The content that Sega will approve is still being figured out, and a list of guidelines may be provided in the future 20:59.
  • Listeners are advised to be mindful of the content they submit, as it will be seen by Sega representatives 21:19.
  • All Sonic content, including questions about old defunct adaptations and other media, will be subject to approval from Sega, at least initially, and this may loosen up over time 21:28.
  • If Sega vets and approves Ian's answers, it does not mean that Ian's answer is also Sega's official position on the question, as the show is not an official Sega show and Ian is not an official spokesperson 21:55.
  • It is currently unclear whether the show will be allowed to address topics like shipping, crossovers, or goofy scenarios, or if it will be limited to answering basic character and lore questions 22:26.
  • The show may be limited to answering only Sega current Sonic brand-related questions, or it may be allowed to discuss other topics, but this has not been determined yet 22:58.

Changes to Support Options and Live Shows

  • The show will no longer be accepting paid priority questions via YouTube due to the platform's limitations, which make it difficult to coordinate with users and provide refunds if necessary 25:09.
  • The live stream Q&A sessions will be ending because it is not feasible for Sega to oversee them live, and coordinating with Sega representatives on weekends is not practical 24:26.
  • The show's creators are open to continuing live shows without Sonic content if the audience is interested and willing to accept this change 25:00.
  • Character voice "guest episodes" will no longer be available for purchase, and the show's creators will start testing boundaries after ensuring they have everything covered 23:32.
  • The option to support the BumbleKast via YouTube will be limited to $4, and priority questions will be available through Patreon or Ko-fi, as an alternative to Patreon 26:02.
  • The changes will not impact pricing, and the current priority pricing or membership tiers will remain the same, except for the adjustments on YouTube 26:35.

Impact on Mini Episodes and Content Sharing

  • The mini episodes are being put on hold due to the overwhelming amount of content, but non-Sonic related minis will still be published, and Kyle will try to coordinate with creators for potential compilations in the future 27:12.
  • Unpublished minis should not be shared or leaked, and creators are asked to be respectful of the current situation 27:51.
  • Certain Sonic-related minis will be released before the cut-off in 2025, prioritizing those with standard sponsored questions as a thank you to generous donors 28:10.
  • If a BumbleKast mini has already been recorded, the creator should have the MP3, and if not, it will be recorded before 2025, but may not be published on YouTube 29:07.
  • Creators are asked not to upload their own minis, as it may cause issues, and are also not allowed to use voice clips or manipulate them in an audio editor or with AI 29:29.
  • The AI law is still new and does not have clear regulations on using people's voices, which is considered creepy and raises concerns about potential misuse 29:51.
  • The BumbleKast team does not endorse or support taking random people's voices and using them without permission, and they strictly prohibit this kind of activity 30:13.

Community Interaction and Appreciation
  • The team will not take action against fans who create goofy animatics or content based on their moments, as this would be considered "community suicide" and would erase the goodwill they have built 30:34.
  • The team cannot police the internet and instead relies on asking fans to be respectful of their content and the situation they are in 30:58.
  • Kyle has been a supportive partner in the BumbleKast, choosing to stay and help despite the challenges, and has worked tirelessly to keep the show going 31:22.
  • The entire volunteer BumbleKast crew has also been instrumental in helping the team, gathering information, compiling questions, fact-checking, and providing support 31:49.
  • The crew members are all volunteers who are not compensated and are doing this out of the kindness of their hearts, which is humbling for the team 32:16.

I thought this game was more like Saints Row IV in that it was a superhero open world game
Not that it matters, I don't like Frontiers very much, I found the game quite boring and the cyberspace levels were some of the worst playing parts of any Sonic game ever, also Big the mentally disabled Cat returns which is a major L
