Autism Sonic the Hedgehog

what do you fart sniffers think of sonic prime?
i watched a season and a half and i stop because the dialogue is just so fucking gay, sonic is like "errrrrm twerps thats gonna like heckin hurt a lot in the morning" hes so fucking annoying, all of the "new" characters are just boring theyre like "what if amy was a hecking robot!" except for nine i like how his design references the 9 tailed foxes from j*panese culture by giving him 7 extra robot tails and i like how hes pretentious and smug because that is how tails would be like when he grows up.
also the show is clearly written by people who know nothing about the games which is fine but they keep making references to the games and theyre very gay and annoying i wouldve preferred if they just ignored the games all together.
anyway shitty show for shitty people i do not recommend 0/80 sonic for hire DESTROYS this piece of shit
I've only watched Season 1 and I thought it was quite serviceable all things considered.
The settings are quite interesting for what they are, I was a particularly big fan of New Yolk City as I've a sucker for grim-dark Sonic settings ever since I first read Archie a while back and the show managed to find a really nice sweet-spot between the gloominess and dread of Robotropolis and the comedicness of something like Eggmanland, I loved every minute New Yolk got in the show as it just ticked all of my boxes for what I wanted from a new grim-dark Sonic setting, I just loved the effort that went into the design of New Yolk as everything was given equal attention from the underpasses to the buildings themselves whether big or small, and that's exactly what I've yearned for in this franchise for years as I loved re-watching the shows and having something new to oogle at and observe with every re-watch is an absolute treat.
New Yolk feels lived in due to the aforementioned details but this is where I can neatly segway to my first complaint.
The show just did not give itself enough room to stretch in the settings it provided, outside of New Yolk, every single part of the Shatter-verse was given just enough screen-time as to where I felt introduced, but not enough to really know the place well enough and the people who resided within, I loved the Boscage Maze and the No Place but I felt as if I had no reason to love them outside of the fact they were in a Sonic show after I finished up Season 1, as I didn't know anything about them at all outside of "this verse is feral" "this verse is pirates" and I fucking hate that, I really want to know more about the hows and whys of everything within the verses outside of a simple glossary and I just do not get that and because of this I just do not care for any given verses versions of the main-cast, outside of those introduced in New Yolk as (once again) it was given much more time to breath and much more time to explore compared its equally interesting counter-parts.
The animation is absolutely amazing all things considered, I genuinely cannot complain as for the Netflix TV budget it was made on, it's fucking brilliant albeit certain parts of the show resembled Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, but I mean that in a good-way geg.
It surpasses what Sonic Boom and Sonic X was serving animation wise by a long shot, in both general and action scenes.
Every moment was full of background details and nothing felt static in the show because of that, there's always something moving, an expression being made etc etc etc.
I especially loved the staircase fight scene in Episode 3 as it’s fluid, cartoony, and incredibly well put together as it shows the characters personalities not to dissimilar to how they were shown in Adventure with the Character-songs.
Each character’s unique fighting style and movement were all made differently in order to reflect the characters themselves, Rusty Rose moves in a stilted mechanical manner, more mechanical then Bunnie Rabbot but less stilted then the Eggman Robots she's fighting which reflects her as a character perfectly as she's not "robotized" like some SatAM counter-parts but she also has some of "Amy Rose" still inside her as she still has an ounce of life in how she expresses and moves, Sonic constantly shows off with action poses and big stupid dorky expressions, which once again reflects how fucking dorky he is in this show, while Nine uses his robotic tails to navigate the ceiling and flank from above, reminiscent of his gameplay in Sonic '06 with the Ring Bombs which also shows how he's still Tails under the cocky edgelordiness, which is all but confirmed during the fight as he stops for a moment to smile after Sonic gives him a high-five, before he once again slips back into being his previous self, it's all really neat stuff.
There's hundreds of similar examples throughout the show, especially with the characters in the Boscage Maze but I just think that fight scene in particular shows it best.
I really like a lot of the new characters though, even if I didn't get the chance to care about the majority of them or their struggles, I still really enjoying watching how they interacted with Sonic and by-extension each-other (even if Sonic's a humongous retard in this show).
All the new characters have such cool designs, and as a Tailsfag I felt comically spoiled, while other characters only got simple costume changes he stood out as he was always given the most interesting changes in both personality and design (Mangey and Nine in particular really stood out to me, in contrast to his normal self in the show), making his variations so much more exciting to see then the likes of "Forest Amy" "Pirate Rouge" and the useless and outright annoying variations of Big.
The new Eggmen were in-offensive, I liked the weeb-guy but he really bothred me as his entire existence implies that there was a Japan in that verse which wouldn't fit in with the lore given to us through the flash-backs and small snippets sprinkled throughout the New Yolk focused episodes, disregarding that for a moment, the rest of the Eggmen were alright I suppose as they didn't stick out too much to me to the point where I logged an opinion of them individually in my mind.
I really liked Nine, but I've heard that he was a whiny faggot in Season 3 so I'll hold my tongue on the compliments, but to make things short and simple, I primary enjoyed his take on Tails' story and how fucking dark it is for no-reason like for God sakes, the nigga was beaten up for years by two literal-who bullies and in-response made himself 7 extra-mechanical Tails alongside a myriad of gadgets, it's genuinely amazing, and the only time I've seen a take on Tails like this before was in the likes of "Sonic Epoch" and "Where was my Hero" which were both fan-made while this is a true officialy endorsed SEGA thing and it makes me so fucking happy it's genuinely hard to convey in words.
I could ooze about how much I like his personality, design and how he's finally a variation of Tails given the time of day to actually be serious and assertive instead of his modern post-Adventure incarnation, but it's all very very hard to put it into paragraphs reflective of all of my thoughts that goes beyond a simple glossary.
The story over-all was servicable enough but I never felt myself on the edge of my seat as whenever any form of suspense was built, it was immediately dissipated with a retarded fucking quip from Primenic, SatAMnic saying the likes of "It's Juice and Jam time!" and made sense as it was all broken up with a meriyad of genuine stakes and danger that actually had me on the edge of my seat, as everything was always on the line, there was always a new Robotnik invention, a new ploy to finally take down that blue rodent and every single time this occured, he used his quips and way-past cool attitude as a genuine stratagey to wind up Robotnik and catch him off guard, while also using them to show his fellow Freedom Fighters that it's possible to be more relaxed and confident despite the grim times ahead, and he even cries in an Episode as he can't keep himself together after losing his Uncle once again but even after that, he pulls himself back together and uses that as another motivation to fight harder by vowing to save his Uncle as the screen cut to black, but in Prime? The quips are just there to make Sonic "cool" and that's it, no-depth, no nothing and it's really grating to someone like me who loves reading between the lines with everything I read and watch, and sadly, that lack of depth in Sonic also extends to rest of the cast who didn't reside within New Yolk.
Overall, Season 1 of Prime excels in some areas but fails miserably in others.

I ended up binging the rest of Prime today as I was just curious to how all the plots set up managed to payed off and wrapped up and to be quite frank, it was lukewarm at best.
Now I'll try to be a little briefer than my last word wall as there's a lot more to speak about but a lot less to care about, because this is all just personal opinion that spoils an otherwise pretty decent show.
I'll be the briefest on Season 2 as there's not much to dig as it’s just everything from Season 1 dialed up to the max for no real reason, all the issues got even worse, and all the things it did right became even better, which made the whole thing a mixed bag, a pretty solid mixed bag but still a mixed bag all the same.
I really enjoyed Sonic' new form, the Roses and the expansion upon the Boscage Maze and the No Place but those we all at the start of the Season, the middle chunk of the Season really dragged it's feet in the dirt as it was just episode after episode of fighting and in-general, the show just trying to roll its wheels and get itself over with.
On-top of that, nearly every single Episode in Season 2 was in New Yolk, and I'm not complaining, far from it as I absolutely love that locale but seeing it over and over and over while there's still places to be explored and plot to be expanded upon in the other Shatter-verses left me a bit bummed out to be honest.
The Season really picked up in the last 3 episodes though, as Chaos Sonic was a pretty interesting foe all things considered, especially as he was capable of out-pacing Sonic in combat pretty consistently which is always an interesting plot-point no-matter the continuity.
That said, the last three episodes really picked things up, Chaos Sonic was an interesting foe as managing to consistently outpace Sonic in combat is always a good thing to build a character from no matter the continuity but Episode 7 and Episode 8 absolutely carried the season, watching Sonic and Nine team up is always kino, and Episode 7 showed that dynamic in full force while also fleshing out the Roses which was pretty alright all things considered, Sonic didn’t feel as annoying as usual and Nine getting glimpses of the other Shatter-verses was neat but I just wish the introductions between the other variations of the characters were treated with that same level of care.
Episode 8 was pure kino from start to finish and I know some people hate it for the sudden tone shift in the last two minutes, but honestly, I didn’t mind it at all as it felt deserved after the show let me watch a giant Prism-Robotnik hunt down the Prism as Sonic gets a new form and makes him fucking explode.
Season 3 was something for sure, I'm not going to lie and say I hate it but it definitely was not my favorite season as by the end I just felt exhausted more then anything else.
Episode 1 was pretty good as it actually set up some pretty high-stakes, seeing the new robots was cool and so was Nines prism abilities alongside the Grim itself as it was pretty neat and I really do not have any real complaints and Episode 2 was nothing but exposition, dragged out-fight scenes that just had me bored to death and once again, seeing Nines abilities and the genuine stakes at hand was brilliant in the moment but in hindsight only shows how after this the show really falls apart at the seams.
After those episodes, the rest boil down to “plot, fight, plot, fight, plot, fight robots, Nine drops the facade for a moment, gets angry again, cut to credits.”
It felt like the writers were running in circles trying to pad shit out for no reason other then wanting the show to be over and done with, characters also start repeating themselves as well, "I need Sonic’s energy," was stated about fifty times and Nine’s arc suffered because of this as it didn't get enougn Screen-time to expand, he’d just get mad, charge prism energy, shoot Sonic, fail, complain about "muh betrayal" and repeat that same shit all over again until the Seasons climax.
The climax itself and Nine’s sudden change of heart at the end just felt completely unearned as there was no build-up to it at all outside of Sonic crying like a little bitch while also preaching in the same sentence about how much better he is and how he "actually didn't mean to do anything wrong" and how sorry he is despite this all being his fault as he says himself, the last episode just felt like the show was trying to wrap things up in a rush after spending most of its runtime spinning its wheels dawdling on useless bickering and drawn out fight-scenes that lost their flashy appeal and got stale very fast and by the time the show wrapped up, I genuinely despised Sonic him, he's just a Steven Universe knock-off larping as Sonic while constantly preaching and trying to "set things right" it just got comically shit towards the end.
Even though Nines motivations got repetitive and his shift at the end felt rushed, I still found myself rooting for Nine despite or due to all of the aforementioned word wall as he had so much depth and to be frank, it's really rare to see a take on Tails this layered and I think that's why I enjoyed the Nine slopper so much, the fact his abilities were tied directly to the Prism’s limitless potential made him stand out as more to the Eggmen for me and despite his flaws and the show’s rushed pacing, it actually made him feel like a equal if not better villain then anything else provided in the entire show from start to finish for me, and that's not mentioning how he was one of the few characters whose potential was actually explored and acting upon unlike the rest of the cast, who were just given table-scraps of development at best such as the Rouges for example.
The finale was great despite the flaws and I genuinely enjoyed it all things considered, it still left me with mixed feelings though, I was satisfied with the conclusion but upset knowing I’ll never see the Shatter-verse characters again outside of mobile game slop but eh, beggers can't be choosers, but there's still hope on the horizon albeit as there were reports going around last month that Metacritic accidentally added a new season set for February next year to the database which would add up with the shows ending of the Eggmen supposedly breaking out from the Shatterverse to fight Sonic in his home-verse but it's all wishful thinking geg.

On a side-note, I just remembered that there was a planned Sonic Prime IDW adaptation that was set to be released in two days, but it was pushed all the way back to the 13th of May of next fucking year, thanks IDW!

Just look at the internet bro. They're mostly autistic weirdos that goon to hedgehogs and foxes. I've never seen a normal sonic fan.
I'm not going to deny the truth, but those kinds of fans are only a super vocal-minority among a huge sea of exceptions, and they have been since the beginning of the franchise.
You'll only find those types of fans within the depths of xitter niggerhell and 4cucks /co/ and /vg/ and that's it, if you go searching on any other social-platform you simply will not find any as they just do not exist outside of the aforementioned locations.
Maybe I'm generalizing but I think many people share the same opinion with me.
It's been a stereotype since the late 2000s that's only faded away slowly within the past seven years.
Sonic fans didn't exactly put their best foot forward when YouTube came out, which led to those opinions being formed in the first place, but I doubt many of those who shared those opinions years ago would still have them in 2024 thoughie, if your picking up what I'm putting down as I don't know how to respond in the most precise manner as it's a topic I only experienced the mid to end point of personally.
I've never seen a normal sonic fan.
Harsh. it hurts

The only guy I knew irl that liked sonic was this fat, loud, obnoxious, tone deaf autistic loner in like third year of high school and I fucking hated him so much. I was also a loner but I didn't want him to feel comfortable around me at all, neither did I want other people thinking we were friends. Looking back I was a bit harsh but that's just what I was like at the time.
