Shit EVERYBODY Cares About! Should I invest in a stylus?

You WILL care!
How do you use GIMP to draw? I never understood how to draw on this.

It takes some learning

Good morning, recently I have been a bit more invested in drawing and everything but here's come a problem, using a mouse and a keyboard to draw isn't very practical nor comfortable to work with, I saw many people used little virtual pencils things so I thought maybe this could make drawing a bit better to do?
Also pinging @Rot since she actually knows how to draw.
Thanks for using the correct pronouns saaaar, I feel so affirmed. To draw classical art parodies, a mouse works fine. It's what I used for every one of them up until the latest one. I use an old intuos wacom drawing tablet. It took some time to get used to since it doesn't have a screen, but eventually I got comfortable with it. It'd probably be better for you to save up for one that's wireless, and/or has a screen if you've got more practice with drawing on pencil and paper. As for programs, I first started using ms paint but upgraded to paint.net as recommed by LifeSucksThenYouDie. Paint.net has limited brushes, but it's very simple to use and free. It doesn't have an airbrush or ways to smooth your lines, so maybe you'd prefer what I currently use: firealpaca. I mainly use firealpaca for major drawing projects, and switch to paint.net for simple jakking edits. Firealpaca has an airbrush, multiple brushes, a line smoother, and is free. It might take some time to get used too so if you need help then send a message to sisa9000 on the 'ru, as he's the guy who introduced it to me. He's got plenty of experience with it and has the drawings to prove.
paint.net (better for quick edits)
firealpaca (better for effort OC)

If the art being digital is one of the most important things to you, yeah.
But if you want physical art I'd suggest getting a dip pen

OK I bought a tablet and a stylus.

I'm probably gonna need to practice some more lole I feel like I'm back to being a toddler.

I've had firealpaca sitting for months on my computer, I didn't use it much because I don't think it's made for keyboards and mouse.

I think it's pretty good tho, I feel like I'm starting to like this way of drawing more.
