I know. That's why I said we have to utilitize the shlog's feature in a way that renders it attractive.
Render it more useful to 'ki users and to it's staff team, render it useful to sharty staff, et cetera.
If there's a reason proper for it to be used, it will be used. We already have good people on here. It's just not perfectly tuned yet imo

That was one of my thoughts.
Saving threads permanently can be done on the 'ki, but here too.
And as said, lenghty projects, or monitoring certain groups/tech developmeny is a thing we should integrate more thoroughly here.
I think the meta category of the forum needs a bit of expanding.
/q/ can remain for the blog stuff, but we could have a /sharty/ related board, a /wiki/ one, and or something else.
And the focus of these boards would not be to immitate their content but to talk about the structure of these places and ask for help on a wiki page for example, ask for advice, give propositions and feed back.

For example, you could have an emote thread in the sharty board talking about this new feature, a captcha thread. Mods on the sharty would surely find that usefull. Maybe even admins. Doll wdyt, if you read this ?

Adding a /chive/ board to store links/screenshots of gemmy soy happenings on the sharty or otherwise would be great functionality for this site

Otherwise since names are allowed here this serves as the perfect place for soy projects to organize like you said. The doom mod for example could've been worked on here and any derailers can be removed since they're not anonymous
