Serious Opinions on the Holy Roman Empire?

@baqqrih
I think I understand your dislike for the Papacy now. When I first learned about him I was stunned to say the least
A lot of these older Popes are extremely scandalous, the Catholic Church has always been corrupt, from the start of its existence to nowadays.
Wait until you hear about Pope Benedict IX if you want a scandalous pope.

>TL;DR He was "elected" when he was potentially as young as 11-12 to around 20 years of age, described as sexually depraved, a murderer, vile, foul, reckless, wasteful, neligent, among other things, he was extremely unpopular early on; hated by all, and was briefly expelled only four years into his first term only to come back a little later, it was during his second term that he sold the fucking PAPACY to some guy (his godfather) he knew who wounded up being known as Pope "Gregory", he also wanted to marry his cousin during this period, on a related note he was also into bestiality and had a shit ton of orgies, and it was by the third time he tried to impose himself on the papacy that he finally got driven out of Rome, and in retrospect some genuinely believe him to be a demon in disguise of a priest.

I honestly forgot how fucked up this guy was.
