CPU companies build new CPU's so we can play dwarf fortress in 20 fps after the new update.

Yes. It seems intense but you really go at your own pace. Lots of YouTube guides also help.

Well I could make a guide later, once you know it become pretty easy

Pretty good fortress so far, LOTS of monster hunters moved in, it's hard to keep up with building new rooms for them though. Got to cavern layer and it was a magma carvern so ez furnace. Would take photos of more but i'd have to screenshot like over 30 layers

Got down to layer 5 where krumlings or whatever those things are called started coming by the millions, luckily my army is pretty well equipped for the time being and the expansive carvern didn't go down to the point where forgotten beasts can spawn. So far i'm fine but there's a lot of krumlings and bat man blowgunners trying to rush out of the mine. Only 2 dwarves died from my playthrough so far, and it was both due to me not being prepared fast enough, I doubt anymore will die like that. I'll post some fortress screenshots tomorrow maybe.

And if you're wondering why everyone's grumpy gus's it's because of all the fighting and dead carcasses lying around.

The Kremlings and pretty much every other hostile animal died or left. Unfortunately 2 dwarves and a child died because their was 15 liters of dirt and blood in the well instead of water, so I moved it to a better place. Almost at 100 population, still need to make rooms. So far the population mood is pretty good.

So I set up the killbox and the tribals kept running into the three colonists with miniguns and autoturrets on the other end of the trap filled corridor. Hundreds were killed, it was a massacre.

Anyways here's the fort now. Some goblins came for a siege, but the population is quickly ramping up really fast, and drinks seem to be the issue. Still stuck on level -5 since apparently everything's lava. Trying to set up a better taven and underground farm so I don't run out of drinks as fast. I don't believe anyone else died except a cat and some underground animals.
