lanza had a 20SF himself, in fact it's the one he used to ACK. apparently he had to eject 3-4 live rounds before it would finally go into battery, and then it jammed again after the shot. the lanzas weren't good about cleaning their weapons, and limpwristing may have also been a factor

True, and IIRC only the Gen 3 models were available in SF variants (the .45 ACP G21 also had one). Starting with the Gen 4, the "SF" label was dropped and its dimensions became the "standard". People with large hands just had to add a backstrap to get the thickness back though.

I've actually never held one in my hand so I'm not able to say. The non-SF sizes of those pistols are probably not easy to find nowadays, Glock still makes Gen 3s (mainly for California) but they're all SFs when applicable.
I probably am a handlet though. I saw a dude shoot a Gen 2 G20 and it looked like a fucking brick.

None, actually. In fact I've only heard real gunfire once (at my grandfather's funeral, 3-volley salute). I just have an interest in firearms because they're intricate pieces of machinery and I strangely like how loud they are.
One of these days I'm going to pick up a Ruger 10/22 and go plinking at a range, I might bring it up to my father as a bonding activity.

Never have. My father has a 9mm pistol in his nightstand (and a license to carry, although he's never used it). There's also a 16ga Ithaca 37 in the garage which is an heirloom.
I've been interested in weapons since 2021, or that's when I started using 4cuck /k/ at least. Wouldn't consider myself particularly knowledgeable, but it's kinda funny when I notice some gun reviewer on YouTube saying obviously false shit.
The reason I've never attempted to even browse a gun store is that I don't feel like my parents would be comfortable with it (at the current moment). While I'm not legally prohibited from owning guns/ammo, I still need to work on myself mentally before I think they'd trust me.
