For the sake of this poll, I'll specifically be focusing on cars as they're easy for people to understand. Both of the two choices are the same car, a hypothetical vehicle with a wide range of trim options.

Minimalist Option
  • 4 cylinder naturally-aspirated engine (150 horsepower)
  • 30 miles per gallon (8L per 100km)
  • Electric fan, no air conditioning
  • Single warm air vent
  • Only screen is a digital clock
  • Crank windows
  • AM/FM radio, aux port
  • Cloth seats
  • $20,000 USD
Comfort Option
  • 6 cylinder turbocharged engine (225 horsepower
  • 20 miles per gallon (12L per 100km)
  • A/C, heated & cooled seats
  • Touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay & Android Auto support
  • Power windows
  • Bluetooth
  • Leather seats
  • $33,500

If you had enough money to comfortably afford either one, would any of you still go for the cheap one? And remember that the expensive one also comes with higher insurance prices, more maintenance, and more things that could break.
Because I probably would. I like having close to the bare minimum, even if it sacrifices comfort.
