No, I made it to a brown belt in judo pretty easily and probably could have been a black belt if I wanted (Belts don't really mean anything, but just saying I've taken part in judo). Judo is like wrestling, where it is more on the sport side of things compared to other martial arts. It's also intensive like wrestling despite not being ideal in combat on its own. The big difference between Judo and Jujitsu (in my opinion) are the presence of throws on your feet. The problem with throws is that unless you have been wrestling or doing judo since you were a child, the odds of you making use of a throw in an MMA situation or a street fight are low. If you can hit some bum on the street with a hip toss, you probably could have also hit him with a jab and a cross. Jujitsu is much more practical. Judo and wrestling are good entry points to martial arts, but only if you have lots of time, are willing to have the shit beaten out of you constantly and realistically are still in highschool or college.
If you don't care about practicality and just want to do it for fun, I will say it's more fun than jujitsu, but you can get fucked up by the throws. Judo practitioners also seemed to be less proficient at ground fighting, so you are more likely to get hurt in locks compared to a jujitsu practitioner.
