the existence of threads on a forum allows things that i say and things that you all say to remain relevant for a longer period of time whereas in discord, it washes away and is forgotten until somebody searches for it. they tried adding "threads" but they're mostly an abandoned feature as discord is not a forum, its a chat app. i would absolutely agree however that discord is an attention whore cesspool, hence the profile pictures and the ways people act, the ":3 OwO" niggers, the larpers, etc. not to mention, too many little kids.

i feel like the existence of the new posts feature + the slow burn of the schlog allows for a better experience than cord with its multiple channels and servers and less streamlined experience, compare having like 80 servers for different things compared to just 1 website for example. most people on cord end up joining certain servers and never using them, and the pinging system seems to send people insane, so insane that if you ping staff they'll punish you for it because of the little red thing that seems to piss people off for no reason.

then ofcourse theres the rulecucking, the powermodding, etc. atleast on the schlog, mods and admins aren't much of that from what i've seen. they're only powercucks against degenerates, which is fine in my eyes because most of us here are normal whereas on cord you're punished for being normal. i could go more into detail, but overall, discord as an app is not in a great state, theres too much bloat, the community and the people that use it are degenerates and the app rewards you for being a degenerate, it encourages tranny faggot furry behaviour, it punishes people for being normal, it limits freedom of expression and its owned by a shitty company that collects a fuck ton of data on you in the background whilst slowing down your pc, essentially being a second web browser because it runs on fucking electron, etc.

imo the experiences i've had using cord boil down to an insane amount of drama between me and others because i always tend to say things that pissed people off and apparently i was a disgrace to their community o algo, but here i can't get into drama because these are my people. i finally found a site that doesn't fucking hate me for just being myself. with cord i always had to walk on a tightrope with people and it's so annoying, i hate having to limit what i truly think and feel and believe just because it might upset some powercuck janny and get me banned from a server.
