Meds! I could access profiles without having an account just a few months ago. I don’t know if you did it but someone changed it to so users can’t access profiles without an account.

I made my account because I couldn't view profiles. Maybe guests could view profiles for a period of time but they couldn't during the first few weeks of the site.
Either way it's a deliberate decision rather than a security thing like disabling search, I'll ask why it's disabled and see about enabling it.

Privacy settings, the default is on members only but you can choose to set it to all visitors.
