That's understandable. My dog was very calm and relaxed, not hyper/crazy like most.
I used to hate cats until I went to my neighbor's house. Her cat purred like a fucking V8, it was very unusual to me.

Calm and relaxed is a mood I guess but I just can't get into it really, I was attacked by a dog when I was like 4 and I've just never been able to like them since no matter what people try to say to me, my mom tells me that people aren't gonna trust a guy who doesn't like dogs but I'll take my chances.

Pokemon is a franchise primarily marketed towards children, and the same is the case with most nintendo games.
I assume you already know and acknowledge this, so why not just take a definite stance on it? Do you feel like it's not something you should be doing now that you're a big boy? Drop it.
If you don't care then actually just stop caring and embrace that fact, it's clearly not bothering anyone in your environment.
