I don't think corals are edible. Stony corals are mostly calcium carbonate skeleton--the only living part is the flesh draped over the skeleton surface

Saw a lot of corals and fish; also some anemones w/ clownfish/shrimp, nudibranchs, a shark, and some eels
Preparation was I had to assemble my camera equipment and put the weights in the weight pockets. We rode a boat to the dive sites, then suited up and put on our BCDs.

Fiji recently reopened for corals, but you still need a CITES permit to collect and export. I know other people like Jake Adams have collected corals in places and sent them home, but the corals probably had to be sent through a coral exporter with a CITES permit.
