Idk if being a Slav means something. They are just stubborn older people who lived during communism and 90s economical crisis and .
30-40% of what employer pays you goes to taxes and it is mostly spent on gibs for elderly people (main voter base), health system or some construction buildings and big part of this money is lost because mayor employs some construction company that belongs to his relative and the contract is overpriced. For example they can build some wooden construction with brine going down from it (snopes say it's good for health) for 1000 000zł even doe typical house costs 500 000zł. Not to mention that eurogibs sometimes get spent for some useless shiet that doesn't even need to exist, but that's the whole spirit of European Union.
