are you from the coast, the hills, or the steppe? This determines a lot about your genetics. Stepnyaks are among the most East Asian Tatars while coastal tatars are only ever so slightly Turkic in origin, mostly Slav, Greek, Gothic, and Circassian.

Technically Crimean Tatars aren't even "tatars" proper because they speak a language on another branch of the Turkic language tree, which is probably why Volga Tatars are more European than Crimean Stepnyaks.
