Purely for functional purposes, by the way. Erm yeah. Functionality.
Also the maid robot is affordable to you so keep that variable out.

Well, yeah, in that thread I was thinking in the context of fictional gnomes, ignoring the actual garden gnomes of our world, so it was a simple, funny misunderstanding. Here, I don't know why he felt the need to specify that the doll would be real and existent, so that's where my wonder comes from.

I would buy several to torture and tinker with. It'd be fun to mess with the robot's internal components while it's on, seeing how it would react and compensate for various types of damage. Then, with the knowledge I gained from torturing the robots, I would then use spare parts and a bit of jerry rigging to create a death machine with all of the OEM design flaws addressed.
