Shit No One Cares About I installed Steam for the first time ever

This shit feels like literal AIDSware. It opens like 3 windows when you click on it, automatically starts upon booting Windows (disabled it), and stays in the tray even after you close it (also disabled). Even without a game open it was using a whole gig of RAM, probably because it apparently has a fucking web browser built in. The UI is clunky as fuck, ugly, and unintuitive. There's also no option for a light mode. How do people use this garbage daily? I feel like I need to reinstall Windows now, probably fucked up a bunch of shit
