Therapy only works if you are too low Iq to interpret your own mind/feelings or if you just really want someone to regurgitate what you want to hear. Therapists aren't doing anything novel. They are only reinterpreting what you are telling them. They make assumptions and interpretations, but if you can't make them yourself, you are just admitting to being dumber than the therapist. Therapists can also be easily manipulated into saying things if you know what to say.
>"I've always liked dresses as a little kid, and I feel like a heck'n women."
<"Oh my gosh you are a heck'n valid trans women!"
>"I never feel happy..."
<"Oh my gosh you are a heck'n depressed person with such a hard life!"
So on and so forth... People do it for pity, validation, and prescriptions. It's very common. You might as well say therapists are in on it.

He was amazingly talented, but it may have been due to his illness. If he didn't have schizophrenia, he may have been less intelligent and less dedicated. Intelligence and dedication often come with schizophrenia. However, schizophrenia is not as well understood as it should be at this point and the question of biologically influenced intelligence in humans is often taboo to study, so who really knows...@SoySpotter He was a talented guy and if he wasn’t cursed with mental illness he’d be a very successful and great guy
