Rant I don't get people who obsessively hate country

I have heard "I listen to every genre but I don't like country" from at least 15 people. It is just people trying to be contrarian but accidentally having the popular opinion
Everyone knows it’s the popular opinion no one is trying to be contrarians you coping countrycuck

Like buddy I'm not a big fan but its not even that bad I don't understand why so many non-americans despise it so much.
No one “obsessively hates it”.
There’s no one protesting in the streets against country music. We just don’t like it

Like I get that a lot of the songs sound similar but that doesn't necessarily mean it’s a bad genre. I can't really understand the hate behind it unless it's nice with other genres
It’s not that they sound similar, it’s a genre of course the songs on the same genre are gonna sound similar
It just sounds bad

Leftists hate it because it’s white and because it’s not mumble rap music by “really cool” black people like Kendrick Lamar.

>nobody obsessively hates it
>proceeds to obsessively hate it and triple posts about hating country

In all honesty most if not all genres are dogshit with only a few good artists/songs here and there, country isn't really an exception

It’s an exception because most genres have a couple dozen good artists/songs, whereas country has 0

Country is one of those genres where it's best in small doses or is being fused in with another genre, it can't really stand on it's own hence why nobody actually gives a shit about real country (the old shit), while almost everybody now listens to the fusion shit (country rock, country rap, country etc).

This is a phenomenal song, but it's not country, it's just typical late '60s pop with a hint of country, vocally speaking.

And as wonderful as Patsy Cline is you could sort of say the same about this tune, though the country elements are much more potent on this track.

It was also competing with other genres like Blues, Bluegrass, Rockabilly, while competing against genres like R&B, Easy Listening, and eventually Crooner music, etc.

It was over once Rock n Roll became a thing and dead in the water by the 1970s.
