go speak to chinese speaking people. speaking the language is (1.) important for learning the language and (2.) allows you to immerse yourself within the language.

dunno where you would find native speakers but maybe go look for churches in your nearest Chinatown, your local chinese restaurant, and wherever else you could find ppl
