Rant how do people play video games so much

this is kind of a poorfag cope thread but i started talking to some guy i kinda knew in high school and he asked me if i wanted to play games with him. he's confused by the fact i'm a consolenigger, which is understandable. then i tell him i dont have a fucking steam account and he thinks i'm lying for about 10 minutes before i prove it to him.

i made one finally and he sends me a link to his profile on steam. i shit you not, this guy literally had fucking 1,100 games in his library. i scrolled down a bit and apparently he's spent literally motherfucking 4,500 HOURS in garry's mod. i actually checked my zogbox game times and the highest playtime i have is about 624 hours in kerbal space program which is a game i would play all day long years ago.

i looked at his friend's profiles and all of them are in the same boat, hundreds/thousands of games, with god knows how much playtime on them. how the fuck do people do this shit? fucking shit it's crazy to me

I have 85 games and only 1k hours on Gmod. Your friend is just a massive NEET

the highest i have in a game is just over 1k hours on civ 5 (been playing since i was 8), anything way above 1k hours i think is just pointless, espeically since i have so many games in my library i want to play i see replaying or 100%ing or trying to get the best at one or a handful of games is pointless, its like reading the same book over and over again until youve memorized it
your friend is just a neet, but even with the stuff i do irl i can still get like 2-3 hours a day to play game, over 1k hours is pushing it imo
