Yes, I've listened to his "The songs of forgiveness" and "Gift songs" albums
I think chuds make fun of his music not because it's bad but because some redditors wrote shit reddit essays on it
As for the music it's great, I really like to listen to ambient stuff like that while I read

I honestly suspect that the Jefre Cantu-Ledesma meme was forced by someone associated with him as a form of promotion. He is not a very well-known musician, and there is absolutely nothing about him that would lead him to be associated with Reddit soy boys. He's an ambient electronic musician with a small niche following. I had never even heard of him prior to the soy boy memes, and neither had most other people - which, again, just reinforces the idea that this is a form of viral promotion for him (especially since the meme appears to have been forced by one person on /mu/).
