Anyone else seeing an uptick of retarded posts like picrel? Either these nufags weren't around when Froot was sole admin or they memoryholed everything associated with him. The coal police was near universally hated and that wasn't even among the worst policies during his time. I remember there was a opinion poll on every admin and Froot scored worse than literal pedophiles. Is this just some elaborate cord bait?

Kuz wasn't a fan of Soot, Doll and Froot hate Kuz, etc... This is just how it's always been. There is always some level of revisionism that NewGods buy into and preach like gospel. In the Soot era, people who were never on the Qway loved to talk about how it was better than /soy/ for reasons that were completely erroneous. Same with Kuz era NewGods about the Soot era and so on. It's not der 'cord but NewGods being led here by gems created in eras they weren't a part of.... They come to /soy/, realize it's not what they thought it was, burn themselves out, developed Jakking fatigue, and create this nostalgic image of past eras that meet their vision of an ideal /soy/. To be fair, there are aspects of past eras that were better, so this isn't to discredit people saying, "this era was better" as a whole. However you are right, a lot of these users are NewGods larping as Oldtroons. It's not malevolent, it's just ignorant newGods yearning for a more idealistic /soy/ that the X era shills paint their era to be.
 
Coal police was objectively the highest quality-per-thread 'log due to the sheer amount of sweeping and curating, but the most rulecucked one too. Sharty went in the reverse direction now. I aryanheart spam and retarded blog pliers now

Happens with any sitting admin, a lot more people like me now that I'm gone. People today make whole threads to try to summon Froot just to see him post. Like Froot once said, absent father syndrome is real with soyteens

Maybe since the froot era began, but there have been some super events in the past like /lgbt/ steal 30mil, /s4s/ steal 100mil, the splicining, parts of brimstone winter 2023, der ridge, and etc as well as some periods that were higher quality. Either way the coal police era was pretty good, and I think most 'teens agree. I don't understand when jannies denounce it so much. It felt like it could have led to some golden era /soy/ levels of gemminess. Current /soy/ is gemmy for its own unique reasons still, but more liberal moderation on an imageboard with several potential containment boards breeds a level of apathy. There is a reason why 'teens like Lativia Chvd aren't as common. I'd say the gemmiest creations in the soysphere have been coming out of the 'ru and the shlog as of late. On the other hand, these past few months have been really really good for raids. Especially with the twitch raids, I wouldn't fault anyone for saying it was the best era for raids. Maybe it's just that there are advantages and disadvantages to either style.

I always hear conflicting stories on the J*rties origins. I know it was flooded by the 'lita mafia after 'lita was finally banned on /soy/. I always thought the J*rty formed because the great purchase.
