tried out sous vide tonight, bought a ny strip and put it in the vacuum bag with thyme, rosemary, and sage.
vacuum sealer gave me shit, didn't end up getting a full vacuum and it seems like some water got into it
cooked in water at 130f for 1:30, seared both sides in pan after
delicious and good texture
 
newman's own margherita pizza
$2 more than standard store-bought pizza with amazing ingredients. no preservatives, chemicals, enrichments, shitty oils, etc. i'm surprised frozen food like this is still available in the USA.
cooked according to instructions, came out looking great, sliced into eighths.
you can taste the olive oil, and the basil leaves seem very fresh. amazing sauce despite being just tomatoes, oil and salt. great mozzarella, crust was good too.

decided to give olives a try again, turns out they are pretty delicious if you actually get high quality ones
