I hate how much romanians kiss NATO ass but meh it's nice having the US pay for our defense, i just wish our politicians would actually negotiate better terms seeing how NATO pretty much needs us since we're right next door to russia.

Nato doesn't really need romania that much. There's 2 countries between you and russia (moldova and ukraine), so you're really not "right next door to russia". Turkey and bulgaria give enough access to the black sea that they could perform operations there anyways. Romania is nice to have in nato, but you're really not a vital member from a geographical perspective.

moldova might as well not matter with how tiny they are and ukraine is kinda fucked and still we're pretty close to russia, i mean they didn't put that anti missile system in Deveselu for no reason.

dunno they've really been investing in us lately. I mean we're right next to Ukraine. Romania, Poland, Finland and the baltics are gonna be important in a hypothetical WW3.
