Ever since elementary school I've always had a liking for the 1980s and 1990s. I think it started off because I used to play Pokémon games from the latter time period via emulation. As I got older I began to romanticize them even more, with the whole pre-9/11 pax Americana crap.
I don't really focus on big events from the era, I just like to mentally create a story and imagine myself doing mundane things. Going to the store, swimming at a pool, walking around the block, stuff like that. But it isn't the easiest thing to do since footage from back then is all grainy/blurry and I really have to try and make it clear. I'm probably gonna start looking for demo reels, give myself some data to train on. I know things weren't perfect back then but they seem comforting.
