Just because they share the trait of authoritarianism doesn't mean they're the same. Ideologically, they're opposites. Fascism is ultra-reactionist while communism is culturally accelerationist. Communism is materialist (similar to capitalism) while fascism is escoteric.

Facism isn’t esoteric, it can be made esoteric like communism but they both want to achieve the same goals.

By esoteric, I mean the opposite of materialist. Fascism criticizes both capitalism and communism for being materialist, only promising people "bread and circuses".
By accelerationist, I mean culturally ultra-progressive. Fascism wants to restore a past golden age of a society, while communism wants to go forward.

I guess I just misused those words. By accelerationist, I meant culturally accelerationist (but unironically, not the 4d chess kind of accelerationist), and by esoteric, I meant spiritual/religious mysticism, sorta like those neo-gnostics like BurialGoods. And fascism is esoteric; the Nazis were really into European paganism (but I guess that was just Hitlerist revisionism).
