During sauna this evening I actually did ask them. I asked my father and my older brother, since my mother is away currently (my parents are both physicists so they are constantly abroad for conferences and stuff). I explained what I posted and the reasoning behind the joke.

My brother didn't give a shit.

My father also didn't give a shit. He did also comment some shit about how I should concentrate on my academics and not waste time posting nonsense on esoteric websites. Also he said that he doesn't understand why this would be funny or a good use of my time, that he doesn't understand nor care about zoomer bullshit.

Now my father was wrong in the sense that posting nonsense on esoteric websites and having good grades are not mutually exclusive. However he is inadvertently right in the sense that I feel like I do spend too much time online, and I should cut down on that.

I'll also add that this is in a large part a skill issue. The way people see you/react to what you say depends WAY more on HOW you say it and what kind of PERSON people see you as, rather than on WHAT you actually say. Though in a lot of cases people who have dumb beliefs are often too dumb to say them in the right way. I say a lot of things irl that I know if other people would say them would get them hated.

Oh and also my dad is very "religious" making the sign of the cross on himself when he passes a Mary idol that we have at home, having a St Jude card in his car, believing in God and not working on Sundays because of religion. But he also is a drunkard and a whoremonger. It's pretty funny.

It happens too much with a lot of the Christians I met. None of us are perfect but we can still work on improving ourselves
