I only heard about this after I left the house for the day, I'll get it done tonight but real responsibilites comes first.

what update did tf2 get? the same shit?

From what I've heard the source code for TF2 was released and mods like TF2 Classic can be made available on Steam as long as there is no paid content. This probably means that there aren't going to be big updates for TF2 by Valve anymore and the community can just make their own Heavy update where they add back the trans flags to the Engineer or whatever it is the community wants.

Another thing I heard about is the Source wide update not needing a dedicated server or port forwarding for people to join you anymore or something of that sort but I'm not 100% sure on that and IDK anything about servers anyway.

No, spectate anybody was intentionally because it gets boring watching your last cornercamping idle teammate for 2 minutes.
