Chud confession thread

u should tell the whole story
Alright then.

Soon after I graduated from school, year 2016, I wanted to study something that could serve me as a base to create my own stories and share them with the word, and for that I decided it was a nice idea to study digital animation since it was available, I enroll and pass the admission test, I would start next year which was alright, but it wasn't that great.
From the beginning I started bad, at the time matchings were pretty common which would remove days of study, and I didn't knew that these protests only lasted a day, so when I just started and saw that shit, I didn't study for a week, on which: I never got an ID, never learned important stuff about the infrastructure of the building and I lost precious time with the English classes that started that week, among other shit, it was a very frustrating and humiliating experience; after a week lost, things would go normally: the occasional protest and days off, studies would go as scheduled, and the English classes I couldn't attend at the time, and after a few months, a big damaging event starts taking place that would then end after a year ONLY because the instructor and a fellow student took action to solve it for good: one shitskin thought it was a nice idea to pass as a computer maintenance member, enter the building and steal computer's parts of the classroom without being caught, to then sell them.
A year passes and after the necessary classes dedicated to learn the basics finished and the animation classes started, shit went downhill, the working computers halved only to half (30 were functional at the start btw), the fact the computers were changed to some shitty office ones (the ones that were dedicated to animation had better specs, resided in the classroom for fucking accountability classes) and the lack of drawing tablets or any other animation tools available at the time (the institute never cared for the class at all, we never existed for them) and the need to pirate fucking adobe animate every time because the working PCs were infected with viruses, just made study unbearable, and lastly my own issues with this mess as I wasn't capable of generating a single animation no matter what I did (I had a worse PC with me at the time), also the protests became more frequent and my time to study shortened, I had pending work to submit but couldn't because at the time I hadn't internet access, and more... I realized I couldn't do it then I started to avoid classes until I finally stopped studying.
After that I didn't want to do anything with drawings, and stopped drawing for like a year, even attempted suicide
I also learned that I couldn't monetize my art because Colombian banks are shit and had no options to take money from the world to me without creating a bank account and burning money with them, any other option didn't work well either, as it would put my stuff at hefty prices just to take a few crumbs due to tariffs and limitations, I could of limited my range to Colombia only, but... Apparently I was never popular no matter what I did, people were never interested in my art, they never cared, I was a ghost for everyone, then I realized how shit my art was despite people throwing flowers at me, flattering my drawings and calling me a pro, but when I needed support everyone disappeared
Ever since, i became lazy and lost interest in art, I hate the word "commissions" and everyone who says they make bank with shitty goon blobs, or when people just say I have talent, it infuriates me, I hate the word talent
Sorry for this long post

I'm sorry to hear that. Did the situation with the teachers going on strike every other week improve at all since then?
Also how did you go from there to deciding to study Criminalistics? Did you try out and drop any other careers?

I have no idea, the institute I used to go is named SENA and ever since that fiasco I haven't seen foot near them past 2018
Also how did you go from there to deciding to study Criminalistics? Did you try out and drop any other careers?
After the fiasco I didn't want to study for a while, and only decided to give it a shot because one of my sisters was studying it and asked me if I wanted to join, but the real reason was because I thought it would be funny to study it so I could larp as an investigator on /vt/ (I'm an Amelia Watson Stan to begin with)
It was a stupid reason but I don't regret it, shit is fun and I like it

odd reason indeed but glad it helped you figure out your vocation
but what do you tell people IRL when they ask why you picked the career? surely you don't tell them that

That's not broken you just gotta realign them and make sure they're tensioned on the lugs of each corner
No my parents already threw the boards away, they were connected by these cloth straps for some reason that just ripped off easily, i ordered a new metal mattress support for my bed doe that wont shift around
