Community made settings

I see a lot of people making community driven rip offs of things like warhammer 40k and SCP, including on here, so it's obvious people here are interested in that kind of stuff. When are we just going to nut up and actually make one that is original instead of one made out of spite and parody? I know most of us are also autistic enough to get into something like this because everyone here gets autistically into shit like SCP clones and jakking. Maybe we can decide on a vague idea or outline in this thread, then move onto a real thread to begin in earnest.

Things we need​

1. A unique and original setting
2. An interesting lore with room to expand
3. A general unifying purpose for why people's stupid retard OCs and creations exist in the setting
4. Various factions' people can make stupid retard OCs they can self-insert as...
5. Various hazards within the world (factions, monsters, environmental) to make it interactive.
