Y'all fw my world?

Doll, (i dont wanna ping him) if you read this, the server is back up however its on tmodloader now and people are asking when you're gonna join

>I haaate this meximutt variant... He kind of looks like me o algo... Oyyyy these gringos are sooo obsessed about me they had to make fun of me like this...

I joined over the weekend but no one was online at that hour. Maybe I'll check in again soon.
The server was dead because we had beaten the final boss and there was nothing else to do. We're in a new world with a lot of new modded content now thoughever.

Addressing the Server Lag

As talked about last night, one issue we're having right now is server lag, which seems to only occur with high playercounts.
With up to 5 players, the server can function perfectly normally, but with 7 or 10, etc, something else might happen.
Something like this:

A high player count may be causing the server to have to send out more and more information to players and stress the CPU.
Either that or it's in reverse or something and someone is trying to deedoos me (unlikely)
The server is running on 1 vCore and 2 gigs of ram, the RAM is never an issue as it always stays at 1.5 gigs of usage and never exceeds the limit.
What this means is that I may have to focus on getting a new server with more vCores or better CPU performance in general to reduce lag.

One option is to simply upgrade the current Vultr instance I have, but that would be too expensive, the next upgrade in vCores is going to be $18 dollars a month.
Vultr's prices are definitely just not okay then and I should move to a better service in general.

My options are:
  • Switch to a new trusted provider, but host in USA, which can be a con for yuropoors. Pay the same price I'm paying now for 2 vCores and 3 gigs of ram instead of 1 vCore and 2 gigs of ram
  • Switch to a sketchy provider I have never used before (rdp.sh) which is cheaper and can host in Amsterdam. 6 gigs of ram and 2 vCores for 10 dollars a month.
  • Switch to IONOS which is actually quite cheap, seemingly because I can get 2 vCores and 4 gigs of ram for £8 a month, which is like $10 a month. Cheaper than Vultr.
  • Not upgrade at all because I'm a greedy jew
A vCore is essentially a virtual core on a CPU because server providers are essentially huge machines running loads of virtual machines, the cpu is usually an AMD EPYC CPU. Meaning the performance is already pretty okay. I'm thinking of switching to IONOS for their good reputation, cheaper prices and in general, just more ram and vCores for a cheaper price. It might not help that much, but I literally don't have anything to lose because it's literally cheaper to do so.

Where to host may also play a factor in the lag though however as amerimutts could be having up to 100 ms+ of lag connecting to German servers, but it would seem as if I have kind of divide between Amerimutts and Euros. Anyways none of this particularly matters but I think I'm going to switch to IONOS. I would use RDP.SH if they had a good reputation but they seem so sketch they might aswell just yoink my money and run away with it and not give me a server, or give me a shit server, idk, nobody talks about them, nobody has vouched for them like at all.

I pretty much have no reason not to switch server providers, considering its cheaper so I think I might try out IONOS today after 12:00 PM GMT and we'll see how well it affects performance.
Pretty cool to see that the server is active from about 8 AM to 4 am the next day but most active around 17:00 to 2:00 GMT ish
