One time at Thanksgiving I made this joke:

You know why blacks don't care about their kids?
You can't put 22" rims on a kid!

Back in middle school this huge black kid asked me to tell a racist joke. Instead of going for some safe-edgy cop-out I said:
"What do blacks and apples have in common? They both belong hanging from trees"
I didn't get my ass beat, shockingly enough. I think he was impressed.
