Yeah pretty much, scope was too ambitious and took too much work, gonna be falling back to something simple, like a cute lil RPG game.
I have lots of good ideas so what I'm going to do is make a prototype prologue project to much bigger projects in the future and establish a lore that way, so I'll make a basic game and then in the future a better game will expand upon that game and be better etc etc.
I had this great idea for a huge open world survival game with dungeons, but I'm limiting the scope of that to just dungeons, the more I limit the scope, the better. That's all I'll say really, looking forward to making a new project with my own IP and establish myself as a developer. Might return to FPE when I want to make a stealth game, but learning the mechanics for that right now is just kind of meh.
