• Happy pride month, xisters of the schlog!

bands with the most pretentious fans

I like TOOL and Dream Theatre, but i'd never act like I'm better because of it, considering some of their work is lacking
Never listened to math rock in my life.
Trust me, prog metal fans ate HELLA pretentious; I used to be one of them.

In my prog-metal era, I literally would not listen to a song if it did not have odd time signatures in it.

Rock fans; specifically the more popular ones like the Beatles of Queen. I hate every lobotomized boomer who thinks their shit was the greatest even though they're just spanking their violin-wannabee garbage and write the most banal lyrics. Then they either decry rap for being degenerate knowing fully well their genre was the first of its kind to express any form of degeneracy or they get an aneurysm whenever they hear music that's more complex than a 12-tone equal temperament 440hz riff any 10 year old could play.

As a metal listener, I agree with this. I hate when normie "metal" fans bash other genres or act like modern pop and rap is being uninspired, corporate goyslop when they literally listen to Arch Enemy or Slapnut. Like neftenya, I would much rather listen to Kanye than Lorna "gay sex" Shore.
Bashing metal genres, however, is something I can get behind.
