Anyone who likes object show, can you explain why to me? I watched an episode of it someone posted on the Santa's workshop and it was a literal babyshow with zero substance

My theory is that people really like the characters (including design) and stuff like backstories and personalities and relationships, really I'm not sure why inanimate objects with legs and faces are so good at attracting some people
