Anyways, to answer your question, firstly we don't despise or even hate dogs, we believe that they're 'unclean' animals and indeed they shouldn't be kept inside homes, but we still have to take care of them and not abuse them since they are, after all, God's creation
As for pork (the food), it has been forbidden for us to eat it by God the same way drinking and smoking has been forbidden, which is that it's bad for our health, but it's not our kryptonite where we aren't allowed to touch it at all (unlike what some retards out there believe), and in case you also refer to pigs (the animals), same ruling as dogs applies to them as well (and yes, in both cases we can touch them no problem, just make sure to wash yourself after).
