You guys really do see everything with rose-tinted lenses. Soycaca.farty, IMO, has more raids and gems than it was having in late summer.

I've already expressed my thoughts, but essentially since Soyteens are back in school the quality of the site is only going to go up, until summer starts again of course.

Just close the Shitty for entirety of summer. There will no longer be summer events but we can have back to school events instead. Also both kids, teens and adults should be spending time enjoying beaches, not wasting time shitposting.

Stop acting so fucking negative holy shit you're the one in control of a little section of the soysphere and this "whoa jak forum" you speak of. Try to mend the issue and stop complaining and being so negative about the future of the site because that is not gonna be what helps it longterm.

I have become really disaffected after premiering this project on the sharty. A point when my growing dissatisfaction wants to be let out. I felt like this project had a somewhat lackluster reception, but it was making a thread about it on the sharty that really sealed the sour taste in my mouth. Not because of a negative reception, but because of a LACKLUSTER reception. If the thread just slid without notice it would've honestly been par for the course, half expected. But rather, the thread got some replies. The only person I got to engage with was a guy saying he may have helped if not for an outside factor. That's the only real engagement, the rest of the half dozen replies were "GEMERALD PLEASE FINISH THIS" and "UP GEM!" and the like with random soyjaks attached (because of course, shit almost looked like I was samefagging). And even here, I crafted this in a way I thought deserving of some appreciation. Yet what did I get? 4 gem reacts and 7 likes and some meta discussion on the side and furry shitflinging derailment to go.

To go back, when I made the zellig school shooter game, what is basically a fucking tech demo, I got standing ovations. It had it's own board, it market the second highest PPH spike on the zarty to date, entry on the 'ki, uploads on youtube, it was used in other people's memes and edits, people actually wrote stuff about it. I got to read people's remarks, how they felt playing it, what they found the most interesting, people wrote reviews for it and I felt appreciated. I did not care for views or likes on youtube or newgrounds, but the comments. The fact that these people went out of their way to gather and articulate their thoughts showed a level of respect and appreciation that I found invaluable. It felt like actual people, actually engaging with my creation as thinking agents. But on the sharty it feels like a bunch of monkeys hooked up to a computer, just pressing gem and coal and waiting for the autoscroll to bring them the next serving of SHIT. And if anything attempting to be an effortful endeavor crosses their screen they just default to their programming, say GEM and queue the next serving of spammed SHIT. I mean this thread was reaching page 3 in minutes! It used to be the case that when something big happened the sharty would pause a bit, be it an adventure thread or some big news or a raid, now it just feels like a conveyor belt of feces. And from the people who liked it, how many contacted me? A grand total of FUCK ALL. My email was RIGHT THERE! "hey finish it but fuck you", did they not read the page where I asked for help? Did they not even read the post where I said I needed help? Who are these people???

People were only willing to engage with what I made on the most superficial level. I put in measurable effort into making a tangible atmosphere, adding muffled sound effects and conversations to convey a setting, a choice of music to fit, put my mind to intricately balance the satirical nature of the papers with the atmosphere, and no one even remarked on any of it!

I thought the papers were delightful! The first page has an article talking about declining soyteen birthrate, and right below it is an article about committing suicide to help climate change! That was an accident! When I noticed it I laughed out loud! I thought that for sure people would find that hysterical, setting my best foot forward I thought, but no one cared, no one noticed. No one cared about Dr. soystien "subduing" a patient and an autopsy being preformed on him in the next sentence, no one mentioned "ukranian minister of livestock", or zelensky's statement, or hunter bidens statement in the obituaries, the "/biz/ funds child solder's" which I thought was hilarious, and was inspired by a post on the sharty! And so was the article about american education, but no one asked and so I didn't get to share the funny posts and the funny fact that the articles were inspired by them. And the smaller jokes, like the "african-american homeland of subsaharan africa"? I thought that shit was gold! Or the ending with the juxtaposition of heartfelt music with soyak dancing and tranny acking. How about "VAZDA" (meaning truly in Serbian) being a parody of "PRAVDA"? But no one mentioned a SINGLE thing they liked about the project. No one bothered.

When I put effort into something I hope for a chance to talk about it, elaborate on the process and inspirations, it's a part of wrapping up the creative process in my opinion.

I spent a lot of time with this project dwelling in my mind, it got an emotional stake in my heart even though a lot of it is unfinished so excuse the melodrama

Sorry for the emotional vulnerability, I know it's out of line compared to my usual antics, just wanted to channel my thoughts into a coherent block of SNCA so I can let my mind rest.

TL;DR: Imagine being an author of a book of a 100 jokes and you publish it at a local bookstore. What would you find more compelling, 4.5 star score at the bookstore and some review saying "good book, very nice" or some guy saying "BROOO THE 2nd JOKE ON THE 4th PAGE MADE ME PISS MYSELF LAUGHING!"

It just feels like I entered as a comedian, threw some of my best material into a bottomless pit and got no feedback

I'm not asking for anyone to humor me at this point, it's whatever and I'll leave it to rest, and yeah I'm done being soygoy. I'm hitting the sack, I'm exhausted.

Funny thing, originally the idea was to debut this project as an adventure thread. The idea was to join the schlog, find someone who can help me with drawing, and finish the first level (or 2). Then make an adventure thread where 'teens choose their squad, mission, and make decisions in the mission. These choices would then be played out by me in the actual game demo.
But no, I don't think I'll be making any adventure threads.
