Meta A cool way to implement awards

Xenforo has badge support if you use a plugin and this could be a fun way to make awards a real thing that appear under posts, moderators and admins can give out to users when they see fit, its easy asf to make medals on the fly its like a minute of effort.

Here are some I made as examples:

I'm pretty sure this idea has already been brought up and in the past and we decided it would be too similar to 'cord roles. There is a new normal now, so who knows what the consensus is these days doebeit.

badges have been a thing on forums long before discord ever existed, its forum culture not 'cordy.

So are reaction scores, yet that has been removed for the reason of being too "cordish/redditish".

See I can see the case against score because reddit karma more or less copied it 1:1 but comparing badges to discord roles is a stretch.

At the end of the day, they are special roles/awards that people can receive from jannies. You may think it's a stretch, but on the other hand you must admit they are at least functionally similar if not the same. Considering you can just add award images to your signature on your own, it seems redundant. I bring up the reaction score just to show there is a precedent that suggests the froot world order would not be for it.
