Nothing stops you from lying and registering the account anyways, which is what people will do and have done already with the 16+ rule.

right now your birthdate is optional in settings. I'd assume until he says otherwise that its just gonna be made a requirement to put that when making an account.

if you set your age to over 18 then the excuse of "I'm 16" means you lied when registering the account

right now, to access porn sites you have to show them a picture of your face and your ID. I'm scared this will become the normal for most sites. I know VRChat is doing that exact thing as well to verify users age
