Pretty sure my gym is a "gay gym". One of the managers (owners?) is homosexual. Someone I know who also goes there says he feels the gym is crawling with homosexuals, based on his "gaydar" (this person is straight). They have rainbow logo t shirts year-round for sale. The music being played, ehh. Sometimes it seems a bit gay. A lot of remixed pop music. Uplifting.
The best way to identify a homosexual is if they have what I call the "gay haircut". The sides will be short while the top will be slightly less short, but the constant is that the top is combed upwards at the front. Maybe even a bit spiky with gel in it. Like a wave. Often times their hairline will be receding (NW3) and they'll still rock this.
This isn't the same as the "undercut" which a lot of people associate with Nazism or hipsters. The undercut is combed over to the side or combed straight back. It doesn't "spike up" like this.
All of the potentially gay people are the middle aged (35-65) men while the zoomers and young people look completely straight. Complete opposite of what you see on TV. I think it's because the "athletic gay" is a thing of a bygone era. At university, I can tell men are gay because gay men are very loud and obnoxious and hang around large groups of female friends. They are not athletic. Gen Z straight men are also more athletic than most past generations, it's a very gym-positive generation.
Not many young women go to this gym. This is something you would expect from an elite gym, but that's not what this is. So this may be more evidence that this is a gay gym.
