Mass Thread Unlocking and Undeleting

Rip to my poor thread. Potentially lost forever. All that I've found from its remains is this
If anyone could check their browser cache for this, it would be greatly appreciated

The thread has died, but the retarded EDpedo dirtbag who killed it has lost his mop, so let's just say that the thread died for a good cause. [wholesome]

Look at the coal that currently populates /you/ and say it wasn't the right decision. This is what newfags have to look at Goldberg, nobody would want to post on this website. Some threads need to die for the health of the site, its like pruning the wilted branches of a bush.

1. This is not the MENSA forum. This is the bald cartoon man with glasses forum. This is, first and foremost, a shitposting website.

2. The /dump/ board exists precisely for threads like these to be moved to (which I just did).

This is not mensa but its also not a big truck that you dump shit in, the blog was made primarily for blogposters and for soyteens to make friends and if someone looks in and sees that all of the top threads are about eating shit and slop for literal elementary schoolers people will look elsewhere. Shitposting can be fun but I have a hard time calling that shit posting, those are shit posts. Good quality posts (not even asking of avant garde tier stuff) is the only way towards positive growth.

/dump/ is counter-intuitive, it encourages low quality shit spam by giving it a place to fester. Actually just getting rid of it discourages people from posting slop because nobody wants that. Aedra's original ideal for the subforum was a place to move threads that had been derailed but still had substance, before that shit would get locked and/or deleted.

You constantly deleting threads pissed off far more people than any shitty threads ever did. Ultimately, the biggest problem with "quality control" is that, by its very nature, it is extremely subjective. One man's trash is another man's treasure, as the old saying goes. What you consider to be shit threads are considered to be funny threads by many other users on the site. The /dump/ board serves its purpose well because, if users don't want to see Sprunki BBC threads and other low-effort shitposts, then they know not to go there - just like /nate/ on the Sharty (which has managed to grow its userbase far better than this site has).

Simple fact is that the people who got mad about them getting deleted did not have the lucidity to understand that that was not funny, posters who you want to read posts from don't appreciate that (there's a reason why they all left for greener pastures) and their opinion matters, not people who subjectively find sprunki's bbc to be funny. You shouldn't give concessions to the bottom quintile because they don't know what is best because everyone else knows what you are doing is for the best. The "far more people" was actually a vocal minority of like 4-5 people who giggle when they fart a bubble in the bathtub. You know these spergs aren't even smart enough to not post their shit in the dump. Also /nate/ grew because of 4chan downtime and coomers needed a place to post their goonfuel, it makes sense. This site doesn't have allure that /nate/ has (as poor of a draw that may be).

Reddit and Twitter were both at their best when they were almost completely unregulated. As they became more and more censored, the quality of the sites also became progressively worse and worse. On 2010 Reddit, if you didn't want to see Nazis posting unironic calls for TND, then you would simply not go to subreddits like /r/CoonTown. Likewise, if you don't want to see threads about Hitler's Sprunki-ified BBC, then you simply don't go to /dump/. And, if you don't want to see pornographic drawings of Femjanny, then you simply don't go to /nate/. They're called "containment boards" for a reason.

Today, Reddit is a site where you can't post anything without it being removed and you being banned for some nebulous, ill-defined rule. The site is now mostly just bots posting AI-produced DNC propaganda, because those are the only kinds of posts that can manage to stay up. That's what happens when jannies are given free reign to delete anything that they personally dislike. ResetEra is another perfect example. I don't even attempt to post on ResetEra for a reason, and I certainly don't want this site to turn into that sort of partisan echo chamber where anything deemed even slightly contrary to the established doctrine is immediately met with swift removal and banning. Your vision for the site is for it to be the far-right equivalent of ResetEra. My vision for the site is for it to be more like Twitter was for its first ten years of existence: a free-for-all town square where people from all walks of life are free to say whatever pops into their minds.
