define pisscord behavior. okay, story time, i was for some months (now now, this was before "being in a discord" was banned under any soysphere rules so im still kosher, besides its not a good look to shit pant and flip table over events that happened 3 years ago) in the original 2022 QAfe 'gram. but you see, i remember that the 'gram was at some point, devolved to mostly discussing in earnest whether mediterraneans have whiter dicks than eastern europeans, and whether northern africans could qualify as honorary european, or the racial status of the server's bulgarian for having airdropped thugshaker in school using daddy's iphone that one time. you know, that flavor of countrywarring drama, so i eventually left on my own accord.
but the scary part is i remember this being discussed long before countrywar culture overgrew the booru. therefore, i would consider countrywar culture and namefag race discussions adjacent to pisscording. so then, could you then be merely a pot calling the kettle black?
not very effective moderation. okay, during the soyjak.st banner contest, i tried to report my own post through official means to point out there was a compression error and i've reuploaded a new one. what did your jannies do? reupload both, delete the wrong one, put the clean one up, then delete both. i learned later that jannies SOMEHOW don't check the report queue... which is honestly nasty to have a feature and then let it collect dust. also, a mere few days ago i saw an image that im pretty sure i remember as literal furry porn but with a singular soyjak edited into the corner to make it somehow IAS. it had 8 reports and a dozen people screaming in the comments section. it did get deleted i think, but heres the kicker, someone actually got a good look at that and said "yep, this belongs on a booru dedicated to 'jakking."

but i see neither of these being followed. not only do i see 'jaks on page 3 (recent but not so recent you can claim nobodys seen them yet) with zero tags, or only around a few irrelevant tags i may even consider subjective, but the images that are tagged do not use correct format, they do not cover everything such as not using the correct *soyjaks tags or have meta:tagme attached despite being barely tagged. on top of that, i remember just some years ago approvers would make sure the posts were tagged to standard before approving them. so, this makes it so that its more difficult to filter out countrywar crap when not all countrywar posts have the associated tags to that. its collectively everyones? how are you going to enforce that exactly? as a normal user i shouldn't be obliged to mop up literally thousands of poorly-tagged variant:unknown and countrywar slops, when they will simply be able to continue doing that as-is without any consequences. i may have been wrong in approvers being already obliged to tag, but this is no good system.

i see the issue, and i agree this is infact an issue with any upvote-downvote system on any platform. however, with the tight-knit nature of the booru's niche community, i doubt your moderation (assuming you get competent ones, as your own can barely do basic site cleanup!) will have no issue determining whether someone is gaming the trending page with alts, especially since favorites and upvotes are publically available information on people's profile. a basic IP check would be enough to dissuade most people from doing this, anyway. and the schlog is able to keep their alts under control, despite there being more potential to abuse an alt here. this technical hurdle
huh.... okay.... so the approvers... are the ones supporting what i've functionally identified the slop killing the booru, and have incentive to keep it infront of as many people as possible because they're the ones making it. would it not be a true observation to state that the booru administration is inherently corrupt and has a conflict of interest preventing changes good for the usability of the booru, then?
this sentence is slightly ESL, so pardon if i did not interpret it right. are you saying, that countrywar posts are currently being approved after normal 'jaks in the queue once theres enough countrywars in there, such that countrywar shit aka "more 'tosses" gets placed on page 1, while other 'jaks get put on page 2 and beyond where the average booru user dont shine? if thats the case, then WHAT THE FUCK??? in no planet would i consider giving gemersonlakeandpalmer's factory-line country edits priority over organic 'jaks made by the soysphere at whole! wtf???!!! this shows a clear misplacement of priorities by the booru administration, and at worst, malice against layman 'jakkers in order to maintain a filter bubble of argentina-vs-italy circlejerk debates.
so... you consider finding every permutation of variant + obscure locality the same exact thing as an open museum for high-effort and generally shiny gems? i consider this a false equivalence. im trying to tell you, i have never seen, not once, any 'jakkers oustide the booru nativist cohort consider generic countrywar spam edits made in at most 20 seconds, to be on the same "gem" tier as say a successful raid or a high-effort animation. the booru, as of now, is not archiving soyjak heritage and it is not putting forth our best gems for our best newgods (after all the booru is in many cases the first soysphere site people use). instead, it is mutated to a medium to use automation to create formulaic flagspam and namefag discussion images nobody else uses, and to discuss geopolitics. well, at least i consider slopjaks ultragemmy and as works of modern art, and it is gemmy to go to the zoo (booru) to see monkeys (soyduels in the comments), so there is good in every bad.
im gonna be honest, paragraphing is very /calm/ing.

but what i must say is that i am mainly concerned with the long-term health of the booru as a whole. a site solely dedicated to shitflinging and countrywarring doesn't seem conductive to the production of long-lasting gems to stand the test of time, and one day, hell will be empty, the fire will be gone. remember, new users will see the booru, get bored of participating in colordick wars after a week or two after debating whether black hawk county iowa or douglas county illinois is whiter than the other, and then leave after seeing no great works, no true motive to create, and assume thats all the booru has to offer- nothing to work towards and nothing to gain. when all the namefags get tired (as all great namefags do, rip yaroslav i miss you), and when the shitflingers have ran out of namefags to bait and shit to fling, what happens then? not but a husk of a website, a great graveyard dedicated to the veterans of a great slopwar?
i would flesh out these points more, but i have to go do real life stuff such as cooking this recipe for stuffed mushrooms i found. i shall return soon.
