Speaking of Kuz, I feel like there's too many "perspective" pages on him. I know there actually is a lot of perspectives, but there's too many similar ones. I'd get rid of all of the "joke" ones (minus the fish one since it started a trend). But we don't need:
>Perspective of Kuz
>Perspective of kuz written before Frootists
>perspective of kuz that fully plays into his larp
>Perspective of Kuz rewritten by Frootists
>Perspective of Kuz ran through google translate 20 times
>Perspective of Kuz through images of soot raping Kuz
>Perspective of Kuz that's a one liner about BBC
>Perspective of Kuz that's a detailed and revolutionary piece of art under the takes of a fish
>Perspective of Kuz through the eyes of a tree
There should be 2 pages maximum, neutral and detractors. You could argue that Kuz is more innocent than they say, with other people using communal IP's to post incriminating things while Kuz takes the fall for it, while other people can say how fake it is.
The reason kuz has that much pages is because he's extremely mysterious with many of his identity being larped. Most people's belief of who kuz is, is based on their interpretation of many often contradicting information about him. Having only two persepective pages about him is retarded.
Also those perspective pages are funny and different then the other non kuz perspective pages which is just the same page but says the thing they are talking about is le bad in one sentence.

>A lot of the kuz page is wrong, I'm not saying this as a kuz fan it's genuinely wrong especially on stuff like the ip comment. The article should be rewritten not just because it's wrong but because kuz is probably the most interesting person involved in the soysphere.

<ittsa shame how we dont have much kuzstorians active anymore, he's extremely intresting.
I remember one case that was not recorded anywhere. Shortly after he bought the sharty some tranny obsessed with lolcows started asking him to be his boyfriend to which kuz denied. After this the tranny would start threatening him about turning him into a lolcow and getting back at him or some shit, soon after he would make a thread on lolcow.farm about him full of sperging and seething soon after this he would threaten kuz to take "his shitty website down" and afterwards he started spamming cp on the sharty and reporting the sharty to its host (which was kuz at the time lol). This cimulated in kuz sending out an actual bounty on the tranny for whoever would send him to jail.

i feel as if cobblestone is right, looking back we have too many templates. should i start deleting the useless and weird ones?

i have marked some unnecessary templates as "templates of interest" (doing this for easier organization when i go to delete them/remove them from pages en masse)

what templates do you think i should mark as a "template of interest"

Imo the main factor and issue is usecase, namely overlapping usecase at the moment. For example, Template:Gold was effectively a Template:Ruby reskin before getting redirected. I'm okay with niche, specific templates, as long as they're relevant, because it makes the wiki more fun and colorful.
Not every template has to be intended for 1000 pages. In fact, those are probably the bigger problem. Every time somebody tries to adjust the quality template bracket, they just make it more convoluted. There's a dozen categories for very similar topics, when it used to just be "gem" and "coal".
Thanks for reading my niggerlicious essay. (|| 8 ^ O ]}

My main issue with templates is that many of them have zero function; the "has connections to or written by" ones are especially shitty. Look at this garbage: https://wiki.soyjak.st/index.php?title=Furry&oldid=144112 Let's look at the "oldfags" template for example: you didn't need a giant technicolor box hogging up space at the top of the page when you could've just read the summary and gained that knowledge. That template itself isn't even bad but it becomes a problem when you have 5 other templates doing the same thing right under it taking even more space. I came to this conclusion after seeing people on /soy/ complaining about templates whenever the wiki is mentioned. I think we can keep the weird/niche templates as long as we limit the number of templates at the top of a page, just one or two highly relevant boxes, 'za, gem/coal and gemerald/gemshort/coalshort/brimstone and no more.

Ultimately I haven't taken action to delete any templates after becoming a janny except for a few extremely low-quality ones, and even those I just mark for deletion or consult Sproke (as I do for all things I'm unsure of) instead of nuking myself. I just delete excessive templates from pages whenever I come by them. I also created {{Templatewrapper}} but that's more of a bandaid and just sweeps the real issue under the rug.

The connections templates also annoy me. I agree that there are too many templates flooding certain pages.
The Template Question requires ze Final Solution.
We'll debate on which templates are absolutely fine (gems), which are problematic (coal), and which are useless (dust). There'll also be specific reasons for why they're good or bad.

Can only the jannies create new pages? I was interested in making a page about the Holocaust since I'm well researched on the topic, and can provide some in depth descriptions on the conspiracy theories and the trvthnvkes about it.
