My opinion upon joining the site would have been something like that's retarded and unnecessary, but not anymore. People will find a way to connect and that's fine as long as it stays off-site but it won't in far too many cases. so strongly dissuading and providing disincentives for doing so is needed to maintain some semblance of order unfortunately.

Soot was not mentally capable to further run the sharty, if you saw his late era you would know what I mean. It was the right decision for him to sell it to kuz; now the big mistake was kuz stepping down leading to the situation were in currently.
