If Trump and a lot of other people want to bring it back, why don't they focus on poorer/rural states as a place to start? I'm a retard but I'm pretty sure it'd be mutually beneficial for big companies and people living there; they get paid (relatively) well, there's more job opportunities, and the likely additional investment in infrastructure in roads/railways/whatever would be good too.
Like look at Mississippi, poorest state in the union and a lot of people there aren't well-educated. Shouldn't these people be the bedrock for an industrial revival in the US?
