Haha... yeah... (In all seriousness, I use Arch on my Thinkpad for the speed, security, laptop and battery based configurations and the AUR, all of which are apt reason in my eyes. Windows 7 on the desktop doe as it's comfy and suits my needs like a glove.)

Yeah, the normal one is a modified Ubuntu with Snap removed. The purely Debian-based edition is a lot more concise imo

They like Linux because it's different, that's it. They don't care for the OS, just the bragging rights of using said OS and how "quirky" it makes them look.

I just thought I should add since I remembered this recently. A perfect example is troons making the old alternative Linux logo (The Linux girl fox) a troon through a full on hell-bent effort in art and gas-lighting. (“Hell-bent” because they’re borderline demonic.) Rather then focusing on the OS and it’s components, they got pedantic on a forgotten detail, contorted it into a bragging right, a sickening affirmation and a guise for degenerate drawings.
