In this journal I will be blogging about my new hog farm in Farming Simulator 25. I neglected the game for a while (because of the learning curve & bugs at launch) but now it's better.

International Series 200 Diesel Pickup (w/tow hitch)
Basically my general purpose vehicle

1000001709.png

John Deere XUV865M
Was a free DLC, still don't know what to use it for honestly

(left to right)
Elmer's Manufacturing Ravage bale shredder, used for putting straw in the hog barn
Farmtech DDK 2400, food transport
John Deere 3650 Tractor (the GOAT)
Not pictured is a Fliegl Schmetterling bale loader, which I use to put bales in the Ravage

PIG FOOD

Driving over with my crappy trailer I found later in a shed

Loading the food from the pallets

Unloading it into the barn

STRAW

1000001713.png

First you have to pick up the straw bale with this claw-machine like thing, it's a little tricky.

1000001714.png

Using the two forks on the back of the Ravage, I loaded the bale into it. This was the hardest part by far, taking 5 minutes

Bringing it back to the farm

Dumping

Manure/slurry extraction and dumping

This is the tanker I will use to remove the slurry. It's legitimately called a "SUPERCIS", no joke.

1000001728.png

Mating the tanker to the 3650.

Removing slurry from the hog barn.

Dumping the slurry in storage, might either sell it or use it as fertilizer later on

Why don't the pigs run out when the way out is open?
Animals do this with barbed wire/electric fencing. They get so used to the negative consequences that they will avoid the "fence" even if it isn't there.
At least, dogs and cows do this, I don't know if pigs are smarter than those or not.
