With the influx of billions of indians to the internet and the overall decline in public education, I've noticed that grammar online is getting worse.
Literally any comment section on any mainstream website will be filled with unreadable third-world gobbedly gook or clearly botted comments.
SAD!

I loved when grammar nazis were a lot more prevalent, free English lessons basically.

This sentence contains a comma splice. It should be "I loved when grammar nazis were a lot more prevalent; free English lessons basically. or "I loved when grammar nazis were a lot more prevalent. They basically gave free English lessons."

It's really surreal browsing through the comments of any sort of video sharing website. If it isn't just bots posting the comments + bots liking said posts, it's a bunch of third worlders or kids posting incomprehensible garbage.
Then when you filter your way down to the people who can string together a coherent sentence, their posts are meaningless because they copy the same redundant jokes or thought patterns of things said a million times before, they don't put in the ffort to say something different and their thoughts are guided by posting something that will guarantee them the most likes and replies, comparable to the likes of the NPC stereotype.

When I type like an esl it's because I want to type quickly and not because I'm a genuine ESL, these people couldn't write properly even if you gave them a pen and paper and a dictionary
