• Happy pride month, xisters of the schlog!

Very serious This sites userbase has had a steep decline in respectability.

This tag connotates the discussion as something much more serious than a regular Serious tag.
In that case the 9 were not good OP's. We all can cope and seethe as to what ideal the soy woah jacque site be beholden to, but it's never gonna be this. All we can do is try to be funny and make decent threads. I think we both are old as shit niggeres when it comes to soysphere at least, so you have to had been through the community going through these pains before, you won't change this shit by just whining, all you can do is post funny shit and hope for the best.
Chud, the other threads being good was part of the premise of the argument to explain the thought process. I guess the explanation was a bit clunky so forget it. The point is, if people believe that there are factors outside of the OP being good that is preventing quality threads from prospering, they may do what's in their power to change that. If you aren't admin, whining is about as much as you can do. Maybe many of the threads people think are good actually aren't, but there are good OPs that aren't interacted with and there are very active bad threads. There are outside factors like spam and site moderation that play a role. If you really think thread quality is the only factor that is involved in whether a thread is active or not, then in that case you probably aren't quality poster either.

This is why I was genuinely asking about what we are even supposed to post about now. It's not even a soyjak forum anymore, it's just a general discussion forum with some soy boy woah jack discourse thrown in the mix, which was inevitable because the site's wants and needs are going to shift faster than they would with an imageboard.

Where do we go from here? What is a good post? What is a good thread? An active thread isn't always good because then it just turns into 'cord behavior, and people have less time to think out their replies, so their replies are simpler and lack substance that they would otherwise have if they had more time to think about what they wanted to post.

And this could be totally wrong, but a good post would be one that is either extremely funny or furthers the conversation? Then again that depends on the tone of the thread. I don't fucking know. Please give me more input so I can know saar.

I never said that activity = good thread, it is a part of it but most of the time active means successful bait. And like if the thread is interacted with most are shit, but I am not some arbiter of what good threads are, whatever I believe good is doesn't matter, it's vox populi vox dei here.

>Hostile frootcord takeover
>Purge OG staff team because of janny tism fit
>Refuse to quality control the site
>Scare away all the good posters
>Empower the posters who are just 'cord freaks

[Warning: Words words words ass blogpost]

Wild how that works. When I first started posting here, people like jimbo were jannied. There is nothing wrong with drama but allowing users to spam the site with inane faggot bullshit all day does the site no favors. There was bait, but people who derailed threads and ruined site quality couldn't hide behind the "bait excuse". The Gegbvlls we used to have, like blackhawk and nagolbud's number 1 fan, were given extra leeway for their actions because they were funny shizos we added to the site. Even then, they were jannied when need be. For the past few months, there has been little quality control which is why pretty much every /you/ thread for the past few months with traffic has been drama dogshit. I'm not saying the site was ever a hub of deep thought or even the pinnacle of the soysphere, but it wasn't bs. We had funny threads. We had threads where we discussed and took part in operations. We had threads where we made jaks. We even had some cool deeper threads. We had word word word SNCA threads, that people took part in. That was the type of thread that kept good posters involved in the site. Maybe my point of view of the site was skewed and this is always how it's been, but the site seems to have gone from a legit blogposting site to a drama echochamber.

This isn't even that wordy

Good threads are threads that accomplish a goal, create a meaningful discussion/discourse, or is engaging due to the quality of the post rather than the drama of the users (Ex: a story telling thread vs a thread about namefag drama). We ran out of soyjak topics within the first 2 or so months. Despite that, we had some cool threads. One the comes to mind is a thread where we talked about near death experiences we had. Another was the operation reality thread. Even though that thread mostly recorded the events, it also contributed to the operation. Good posters make good threads. Good threads attract good posters. Bad threads scare away good posters. It's not that simple because good threads attract bad posters too, but if there is a solution it either involves attracting good posters or encouraging active good threads.

I don't want to fix my grammar etc. tl;dr you're not the one to judge the quality of the threads

You are constantly missing my point. Maybe you aren't saying that all active threads are good, but you are saying that the solution is just "make better threads". I am saying that there are probably factors preventing good threads from taking off that are partially beyond the control of normal users.

If the posters don't decide thread quality, who does? With that mindset, you have no right to complain about others complaining. You aren't the one to judge the quality of those complaining threads.

Well really the good threads were just being derailed by 2 or 3 people constantly, one of which is now banned, and the bad threads were being created by an alt of someone, who is also banned.

Oh, I get that. You cannot force people to agree with you what good threads are. If nusoicacas think that their threads are the best, who are we to disagree.

Exactly.
Oh, I get that.
No, you really don't, but that's okay. Maybe you are incapable of understanding or I'm incapable of explaining it. Regardless, we are just talking in circles at this point.

What I meant is that I get what you're saying but I disagree. Nusoicacas decide what they like or not.

a good thread
Sparks worthwhile discussion, with a substance and a level of health in the topic. Health, being anything that isn't objectively fetishistic or degenerate.
